Over the last couple of weeks we have been made aware of an issue with how PowerPoint 365 2016 is rendering through EasyWorship 6 & 7. A recent MS Office update has changed the way that Office is handling DPI scaling. This only seems to be affecting Office 2016 users that are in the Monthly and Semi-Annual (Targeted) update streams. Our developers are aware of this and are working on a solution. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
You may roll back to a previous update of Office 2016 to resolve this issue. Follow the instructions below to roll back to Office 2016 1803 build 9126.2152.
- Open Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Click the option to create a blank presentation.
- Click on the File menu.
- Then click on Account.
- Click the Update Options button.
- Select Disable Updates.
(This prevents the 1805 update from installing again. Set a reminder to come back and enable this at a later date.)
- Close PowerPoint.
- Download and run the Rollback Office 2016.exe file.
- Once you have rolled back Office, re-open EasyWorship and try going live to a PowerPoint again in EasyWorship and it should now display properly.
If that doesn't correct your issue, the issue can be caused by Windows DPI scaling.
Follow the instructions below to disable DPI scaling for EasyWorship:
- Close the EasyWorship program.
- Right click on the EasyWorship icon on the desktop and click on Properties.
- Click on the Compatibility Tab.
- Click on Change settings for all users.
- Click on Change high DPI settings.
- Check the box next to Override high DPI scaling behavior.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply then OK.
- Click OK.
- Re-open EasyWorship and try going live to a PowerPoint again in EasyWorship.
If you are still having trouble displaying your PowerPoint files, please try the following steps.
- Click on the start icon (Windows icon) and open Control Panel.
- Open Programs.
- Open Programs and Features.
- Select your version of PowerPoint 2016, Office 2016, or Office 365.
- Click on Change.
- Select the option for a Repair.
- Run a Quick Repair.
- Reboot the computer.
- Once the computer comes back up, re-open EasyWorship and try going live to a PowerPoint again in EasyWorship.
