Hotkeys in EasyWorship are keyboard combinations that you press to make EasyWorship do a certain function. There are some situations that require you to change the hotkeys in EasyWorship. The primary reason to change the hotkeys is to accomodate a presenter remote. You may want to use the predefined hotkey settings we have available on the Using Non Programmable Remotes KB article before trying to manually change the hotkeys.

  1. Browse to the following path.

  2. Windows 2000/XP: C:>Documents and Settings>All Users>Application Data>Softouch>EasyWorship>Settings>hotkeys.ini

    Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8:C:>Program Data>Softouch>EasyWorship>Settings>hotkeys.ini

If you cannot find the folder, make sure you have the option to view hidden folders turned on.In Control panel open folder options. Click on the View tab. Select the option to Show hidden files and folders

  3. Double Click the HotKeys.ini file to open it.
It will open in notepad allowing you to make changes.

  4. Add or change the numbers for the hotkey function you want to change. See the List below.

  • Each function can have multiple keys separated by comas; for example, SlideNextKeys = 78, 40, 32 which is N, Down, and Space.

  • If you want to use the CTRL, ALT or Shift key simply precede the number with C-, A- or S- or CA- for both CTRL and ALT together; for example, BlackScreenKeys = C-66 which is CTRL+B.

  • You cannot use the same key or number for two functions, doing so will disable both functions.

  • If you have a function that has no key assigned to it enter a 0.
