Using Spanish Accents

Windows XP:


  1. Open Windows Control Panel


  2. Open Regional and Language Options


  3. Click on the Languages tab


  4. Then click on the Details button


  5. On the settings tab, click the Add button


  6. Under Input Language select the language you are using and whatever keyboard layout you want


  7. Click OK and OK again


  8. Click on the Advanced tab


  9. Under the Language for non-Unicode programs, select the language you are using


  10. Click OK


  11. You will need to reboot the machine before the changes take effect



Windows 7 / Vista:


  1. Open Windows Control Panel


  2. Open Regional and Language Options


  3. Click the Keyboards and Languages tab


  4. Click the Change keyboards... button


  5. Click on the Add button


  6. Under Input Language select the language you are using and whatever keyboard layout you want


  7. Click OK


  8. Click the Administrative tab


  9. Under Language for non-Unicode programs, click the Change system locale... button


  10. Select the language you are using


  11. Click OK and OK again


  12. You will need to reboot the machine before the changes take effect
